Come to the Cross.. a dream.

This painting is based on a dream I had. In my dream I was confronting others saying that we must obey God’s law and read the bible. I was mocked and people started to turn away laughing at me. I was climbing up a rocky dirt mountain. I saw two crosses and a figure resembling Jesus.. Jesus was dressed in sack cloth. His arms where reaching out. The mountain started to crumble rocks where rolling down the hill people where running falling. I was not harmed nor scared I kept climbing. The words in my mind where ” come to the cross” and “ask for forgiveness”.  I had the dream in spring 2013. My painting is a blur image because I dreamt in shades of brown and white.

Moses and the ten commandments

Moses and the ten commandments

The laws of God written on stone for his chosen people were given to Moses on mount Sinai. I painted this during the month of Feb 2013. This painting is one of my favorites. I prayed over my canvas for several days because I wanted the holy spirit to direct me to paint a spiritual message. The feelings and urges were all leading toward Moses. I was inspired by other artist who painted images of moses….so I combined several ideas from their paintings and created my own version of Moses. The first commandment ” I, the Lord, am your God. You shall not have other gods besides me ” is painted in Hebrew.

Come Holy Spirit of God.

Come Holy Spirit of God.

The dove a symbolic of the holy spirit. My light and guidance in my soul. When we are reborn through baptism we open the door to invite the holy spirit into our body where the holy spirit dwells in our soul. As believers of Jesus we welcome and learn how to listen to what the holy spirit of God is telling us or guiding us in our life and faith. This is a partial portion of a painting from Feb 2013. I painted this after attending a holy spirit empowerment session at my local church.

Jesus falls the first time.

Jesus falls the first time.

I painted this during lent 2013. I was going through trials in my own life and turned all my worries over to God. As I attended the “stations of the cross ” at my local church I realized at that moment during my bad times I must get up and keep on going. My pain and suffering is nothing compared to the death of Jesus. God loved us so much that he gave us his only begotten son to die for us. Which tells me that God is for me to make me stronger and better. I must have faith and believe in the end everything will work out for the best.

Lion and the lamb

Lion and the lamb

Painted Oct 2013….this painting was inspired by a dream I had. In my dream the earth was covered with sand. Wind blew over the land. I saw several lions as they laid on the ground on their bellies looking up. They feared the wind and did not move. This painting reminds me of the day to come when we all love one another. No more fighting just human kindness among all on the earth..
